Installation Guide

The installation process consists of three main steps:

Step 1: Connect the Vehicle Wiring Harness to the Multimedia Screen

1. LVDS and Fiber Optic Cables

a. Connect the vehicle’s 6-pin LVDS cable and the fiber optic cable (green cable).

b. If your vehicle is not equipped with a fiber optic cable, this connection is not required.

c. If the original car's system interface displays a "No Signal" prompt, it indicates that you have not connected the car's original       LVDS cable to the multimedia screen.

d. These cables transmit vehicle data and audio signals.

2. USB Connections

There are two USB cables that need to be routed to the passenger side for future system updates:

CarPlay USB Port: Used for wired CarPlay connections.

DISK USB Port: Used for system firmware updates.

3. AUX cable Connections

a. Mic cable: We have reserved an interface for a custom microphone.

b. Audio output cable: If your car has Bluetooth, use the built-in Bluetooth to get the best original sound from your car’s audio.
If your car does not have Bluetooth, use an AUX cable.

c. To use AirPlay,  connect the AUX cable and use your car's original AUX audio.

4.External Microphone: If your car’s Bluetooth is already connected, you don’t need to connect this speaker. You can hear the car’s original sound in CarPlay system.

Step 2: Basic Settings on the Multimedia Screen
1. Adjust iDrive System Resolution

If your iDrive menu displays incorrectly, adjust the resolution as follows:
a. Navigate to System Settings >the Original Car's Screen Resolution.
b. First, select the "Auto" option to allow the screen to automatically detect the resolution of your original vehicle system.
c. If this does not work, select the other options one by one.
d. If your vehicle does not have an original system, please select the "None" option.
e. The original vehicle system interface supports only split-screen display, not full-screen display.

2. How do I quickly connect to CarPlay?
a.For the first connection, use the USB data cable to enable wired CarPlay. The connection should automatically establish.
b. After the initial setup, your phone will automatically connect via wireless CarPlay whenever you start the engine, without needing the USB cable again.

Step 3: Rear Camera Settings

1. Original Rear Camera and Parking Sensors
a.If your vehicle has the factory rear camera and parking sensors, configure the multimedia screen as follows:
Navigate to Car Settings > Reverse Settings > Camera Type , then select Original Camera.
b. If this step is skipped, the rear view display may function incorrectly when reversing.

2. Aftermarket CVBS Rear Camera (720×480P)
a. For manual and automatic transmissions, the only difference is the reverse light connection:
Connect the positive wire of the reverse light to the multimedia power cable labeled 360-DET/reverse.
b. This setup eliminates the need for an additional car camera filter.
c.After completing the above wiring,
navigate to Car Settings > Reverse Settings > Camera Type , then select Aftermarket Camera.
d. Installing 720*780P CVBS camera does not affect with the vehicle's original parking sensors.

How do I set the basic parameters after installation?

I. You also need to make sure the original optic fiber cable(Green cable) is connected to our power cable, like the below photo.

Solution:

A. Choose the setting option.

B. Choose the system -- Factory

C. Enter 8866 in the factory.

D. Find out CP/AA voice-grade channel -- Car.V. If you find that you have successfully connected via Bluetooth, but there is still no sound in the CarPlay system, you will need to purchase an AUX cable locally. The method for activating the AUX settings is the same for both CIC and NBT systems.

A. Connect AUX cable

B. Plug the AUX cable into the original AUX interface in the glove box.

C. Choose Multimedia.
