The BMW G60 5 Series and the electric i5 (2023 onward) have a thin aftermarket so far. Expect clip-on exterior trim, mirror caps and small interior pieces, not the wide range available for the G30. Check fitment by chassis code and read each listing's fitment table before you order.
What accessories are available for the BMW G60 5 Series?
New models take time to attract parts makers. The G60 saloon launched in 2023, and the range of aftermarket parts is still growing. Owners on forums regularly mention that audio, electronics and some interior options are limited. We would rather say that plainly than overpromise.
Realistic options today are:
- Mirror caps and small exterior trim. Often shared with other G-chassis cars.
- Interior detail parts. Console and button covers where a listing names the G60.
- Phone mounts and cabin accessories. Universal or magnetic designs.
Our 5 Series G60 / G61 collection shows what is listed. The G61 is the Touring version, so listings sometimes cover both.
What is different between G60 and G30 fitment?
The G30 saloon ran from 2017 to 2023 and the G60 replaced it. The two cars look related, but they are different designs. The G60 has a new dashboard with a curved display, a different door and console layout, and revised exterior panels. Parts for one rarely fit the other without a listing that names both.
| Area | G30 (2017-2023) | G60 (2023 onward) |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard and screen | Earlier iDrive layout | Curved display layout |
| Interior trim | Wide aftermarket choice | Limited so far |
| Mirror caps | Many options | Check the listing names G60 |
| Electric version | None | i5 |

Which i5 accessories are safe to add?
The i5 shares its body with the petrol and diesel G60, so cosmetic parts are usually the same. The difference is in what sits near the battery, charging port and electronics. Safe additions are cosmetic and clip-on: trim, mirror caps and cabin accessories that do not touch wiring.
Avoid anything that taps into the electrical system, such as plug-in modules or lighting that needs wiring. Those should go to a professional who understands high-voltage cars. Our electric i models collection lists parts for BMW's electric range. Check that the specific listing names the i5 or G60.
Do G60 mods affect warranty?
It depends on the part and on your country. In general, a cosmetic clip-on part that does not touch the car's systems should not be a reason to refuse an unrelated repair. A dealer can, however, decline a claim if they show that an aftermarket part caused the fault. Wiring, coding and electronics are where that risk sits.
Rules differ by country, so read your warranty terms and ask your dealer if you are unsure. Keep the original parts when possible, so you can refit them before a service visit.
What does the G60 aftermarket not offer yet?
- A wide choice of dashboard trim. The new interior has fewer proven fits.
- Audio and electronics upgrades. Owners report limited options so far.
- Worn-part replacements. The car is new, so peeling and sticky parts are not yet a common issue. For older cars, see our worn interior fixes.
- Long-tested products. Few parts have years of owner feedback.
Expect this to improve as the car ages. Until then, buy only what is clearly listed for the G60.
How do I check fitment on a new model?
- Confirm your chassis code. The 5 Series has several. Use the find your chassis page if unsure.
- Read the fitment table. It should name G60, not just "5 Series".
- Check drive side and options. Left-hand or right-hand drive and camera or sensor cut-outs can matter.
- Know the return terms. Our fit guarantee covers parts that do not fit the car shown in the fitment table.
FAQ
Is the G60 the same as the i5?
They share a body. The i5 is the electric version. Cosmetic parts are often the same, but read each listing.
Do G30 parts fit the G60?
Mostly no. Interior parts especially differ. Some small exterior parts are shared if the listing names both.
Are these parts genuine BMW?
No. They are aftermarket parts made for BMW. We are an independent retailer and not affiliated with BMW AG.
Should I wait for more parts to appear?
For cosmetic parts, there is no need. For electronics and audio, buying later usually means a better choice and more owner feedback.
