Fit guarantee

Every part we sell has a fitment table that lists the chassis codes and approximate years it fits, with notes such as LCI or pre-LCI and left- or right-hand drive. Our fit guarantee is simple: if a part doesn't fit the car or panel shown in its fitment table, we put it right at our cost.

What we do if a part doesn't fit

  • We send you a replacement that fits, or give you a full refund.
  • We cover the return postage.
  • If the return postage would cost more than the part, we may refund you without asking for the part back.

How to claim

  1. Email info@bmwmods.com with your order number.
  2. Attach clear photos: the new part held next to the part or panel it should replace, and a photo of your car's VIN label on the driver's door pillar, or the page of your registration document that shows the model and date of first registration. You can cover any personal details.
  3. Tell us briefly what doesn't line up, for example a different button layout or clips in a different position.
  4. Please don't force the part into place or modify it while we look at your claim.
  5. We reply within 1-2 business days. If we need the part back, we email you the return address. Please don't send it to any other address.

What the guarantee covers

A part that doesn't fit a car or panel that matches its fitment table: the chassis code, the years and any notes it lists, such as LCI or pre-LCI, drive side or panel layout.

What it doesn't cover

  • A different car from the one listed. If your car has a chassis code, version or drive side that isn't in the part's fitment table, the fit guarantee doesn't apply. You can still return an unused part within 30 days of delivery under our refund policy, with the return postage at your cost.
  • Modified cars. If the area where the part fits has been changed from factory specification, for example with a retrofitted panel, a different bumper or non-factory trim, the fit guarantee doesn't apply.

Your other rights

The fit guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights. You can return unused parts within 30 days of delivery, and faulty parts are covered by the 2-year legal guarantee under EU consumer law. Not sure a part will fit? Email us a photo before you order and we will check it.
